South Lake Tahoe Transfer Station
South Lake Tahoe, California

The South Tahoe Refuse Company is all too familiar with iron floors - it has protected their 2,000-square-foot tipping floor from chemicals, abrasion and everyday abuse for years. After thousands of tons of waste per day pounded the floor, the worn floor was ready for resurfacing. The owner explored several flooring options, and after extensively evaluating several firms that specialized in industrial waste flooring systems and services, South Tahoe turned to Delta Pacific - Structural Preservation Systems (SPS).

With more than 40 years experience in communities throughout the United States, Delta Pacific - SPS has been at the forefront of product development and field-testing of both existing and new tipping floor systems. The DeltaTop iron floor system is designed to meet the needs of the most abusive and demanding applications and lasts up to eight times longer than concrete.

The freeze-thaw factor required Delta Pacific - SPS to install the floor system in the transfer station during the summer. The floor was prepped and 1.5- to 3-inches of DeltaTop iron floor was poured, resulting in a repaired floor with no downtime or revenue loss to the customer.

The floor has been restored to its original condition and the owner can once again rest assured that iron floors will provide their tipping floor with many years of service. The fact that South Tahoe Refuse Company selected Delta Pacific - SPS for the second time is a testament to the high quality materials, excellent service and workmanship as well as adherence to schedule that Delta Pacific - SPS commits to providing on every project.
