PHOENIX, ARIZ. - (Feb. 23, 2007) - The Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) - a non-profit organization for the advancement of post-tensioned, pre-stressed concrete design and construction - has announced that Scott Greenhaus has been selected to serve a two-year term as president of the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI).
"This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the direction of one of our industry's most valuable associations," said Greenhaus. "I look forward to the leadership opportunity with PTI and expect a productive term."
Greenhaus, president of VSL -- a designer, manufacturer and installer of post-tensioning and specialty reinforcement systems -- has 25 years of experience in structural repair, strengthening and protection of existing structures, as well as extensive expertise in comprehensive repair analysis. He has been involved in all facets of repair including high-rise exterior restoration, parking structure and civil structure repair, as well as post-tensioning systems for bridges, buildings and other civil structures. He has also been involved in the strengthening and upgrade of structures as well as post-tensioning of civil, transportation and commercial structures. Mr. Greenhaus holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland. The author of numerous papers related to concrete repair and strengthening, he has served on the Board of Directors of PTI and the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) and is a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI).
