BALTIMORE, MD - (Nov. 26, 2007) - Structural Preservation Systems - a Baltimore-based specialty-contracting firm that delivers services, systems and technologies that build, repair, protect, strengthen and reinforce concrete, steel, masonry, timber and soils - has announced the opening of a new location serving Long Island, New York.
According to Bob Pirro, New York Branch Manager, the opening of the Long Island office demonstrates SPS' commitment to serving the needs of clients in the Long Island and New York City area. "While our New York branch office has always served the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut tri-state area, the opening of our Long Island office allows us to be in closer proximity to our customers in the Long Island area and parts of New York City," said Pirro, "There is a tremendous need for strengthening and repair services in these areas and we believe the closer proximity will enhance project coordination."
SPS has completed numerous parking garage, concrete repair, building façade, structural strengthening and geotechnical projects for a variety of private, public, and industrial clients in the New York City and Long Island area.
The Long Island office will provide several repair and strengthening services for Long Island and New York City projects including parking garage repair and waterproofing, plaza deck repair and waterproofing, concrete repair, structural strengthening, façade restoration, and geotechnical services. The office will be headed by Division Manager Steve Camisa and Business Development Leader Lou Mamone. Camisa is an experienced project engineer and project manager with SPS and most recently managed multiple repair and strengthening projects for SPS' New York Office. Mamone has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry specializing in masonry restoration and waterproofing.
