Structural Group is committed to improving the communities we serve – whether it is through restoring or building structures that benefit the area or donating our time and talent to worthy causes. We apply the innovation and leadership that is the hallmark of our business to address issues facing our communities.
All team members at Structural Group are encouraged to give back to their communities and we support our employees’ individual efforts by sponsoring walks, runs, marathons and other community efforts. We also support and encourage employees to perform volunteer work on homes for Habitat for Humanity. In addition, each year we participate in the Toys for Tots toy drive and canned food drives. These efforts extend past our corporate headquarters to our branch offices. During the holiday season, we sponsor local families to make the holidays a little brighter.
In addition to supporting our communities, Structural Group also recognizes the importance of supporting academic institutions and industry associations. For example, Structural Group is an avid supporter of the ACI Foundation – a non-profit organization formed within the American Concrete Institute that receives, administers and expends funds for educational, research and scientific purposes. Structural Group team members donate countless hours and have helped shaped the direction of the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program – a business intensive curriculum that awards students with a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management. To support academic institutions and our future industry leaders, Structural Group also has established scholarships, donated text books, and regularly supports academic competitions, such as the concrete canoe and steel bridge contests.
Giving back to the community is at the core of our culture. We believe that that by supporting our communities, academic institutions and employees that we are creating a better world and industry for us all.
