A below grade vault had major water intrusion causing high levels of deterioration. There were approximately 6” – 8” of standing water with the main source being pipe sleeve penetrations.
STRUCTURAL was hired to perform the repairs. Bringing on their engineering and design partner, STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, the team proposed a leakage mitigation plan. STRUCTURAL performed grout injection at all problematic pipe sleeves to prevent future leaking. The team also installed a concrete curb and a sump pump to create a perimeter trench.
The repairs significantly reduced the water intrusion and created an adequate control system.
